Luca's 6 Month Update!

My little man is 1/2 way to 1 years old already. What on earth? This time thing just keeps slipping right through my hands. Not get me wrong though, I am enjoying every minute of him growing and learning new things. But at the same time, I wish time would slow down a little bit. Or at least let me catch up because let's be honest I am so behind on everything, and I don't know if I will ever get caught up. But I hear that's mom life haha! So shout out to the mamas who do keep the house spotless, look put together every day, and still find time to love on your babies. I feel like I have to choose one or the other nowadays. If only I had enough money to hire a maid haha! Wouldn't that be nice right ??

Any way on to more info about Luca, all things he loves/hates, what he has done the last couple of months, and new things that he has learned/happened to him. So let's get started! :)

So for starters, Luca weighs 15 lbs 10 oz and is only 25 inches. He is a little shorty so I think that is why he looks chunkier than what he really is lol. I still think that all of his weight goes to his thighs though. hehe! He just moved up to size 3 diapers, and is currently still wearing size 6 months clothes. But this weekend I will be moving him up to size 9 months and size 6-9 months because his current clothes are getting a little snug!

Luca can now roll both ways, has two bottom teeth, can almost sit up straight by himself, and knows his name. It is so sweet whenever you say his name, and looks up at you like what you said my name with big eyes and a smile. He also tries so hard to crawl but doesn't go anywhere. A couple times last week he even pushed his booty in the air. So I am sure in the next month or so he will be crawling. He is constantly moving his legs like he is so ready to be mobile.

Luca has gotten to do so many fun, adventurous, and wonderful things the past couple of months. He has gotten to attend 3 weddings, and he was the cutest little man all dressed up besides he daddy of course. ;) The two pictures below are from the most recent wedding we went to a couple weeks ago.

Luca got to go to his first mini pumpkin patch, and if I do say so myself he was the cutest pumpkin in all of the patch. I honestly wish I could have taken him to more, but this year we were busy traveling during the fall seasons. Three weekends in a row to be exact!

My sweet guy got to go to Boo at the Zoo, and Disney on Ice which he actually loved watching until it was he bed time of course! Speaking of bedtime, Luca now sleeps in his own room, and goes to bed every night at 8 pm. (I plan on doing an updated bed time routine/transitioning to his own room post soon).

Luca Loves

1. Putting everything in his mouth, including his toes.

2. Picking up everything that is around him. He seriously has such a strong grip

3. His puppies Xena and Diesel. He is starting to really notice them, and smile when they come near him. And he pets them whenever they lay near him which is the sweetest thing. All babies loving each other! :)

4. Being carried is his Solly Baby Wrap. He is getting heavier so I don't know how much longer I can carry him in it. So may have to find another one. Let me know if you have suggestions.

5. He loves riding his strollers. Rather its in our travel stroller or regular stroller by Maxi Cosi. But he does hate getting put in it at first haha! He's so spoiled rotten.

6.  His nemo bouncer. He loves all of the characters, and bouncing as hard as he can. One of his favorite spots to watch Peppa Pig every morning besides mama's lap. Also Peppa Pig is his all time favorite show. I don't mind it either. It's seriously so cute.

7. So while we are at Disney, we had a free day so I decided to take him in the pool with me. And y'all he loved it so much. He would kick those legs so fast, and had the biggest smile on his face. Made this mama's heart so happy.

8. Luca loves him some food. Not just breastmilk but baby food and bananas. I was planning on doing baby lead weaning, but I had a change of heart/nervous mama heart. So I will be doing a gradual weaning with food. But so far he has loved every pureed food I have given him.

9. Lastly, he loved Disney World believe it or not. He loved the few rides he got on, strolling around in his stroller, and watching everything and everyone pass by. I loved dressing him up and so many cute fun outfits. With me matching him of course (more detailed Disney posts will be coming soon).

That's all I can think of for now! Can't wait to write another update in 3 more months, and see where my little guy is at that point. My guess is that he will be crawling, talking some, and still being the sweetest boy ever!
